Janske Lazne - Natural Health SPA Resorts

The famous Krkonos, the guardian spirit of Krkonose Mountains (Giant Moun­tains) is kept very busy to make sure that everything runs smoothly in the mountains. But since Janske Lazne is the only spa on the Czech side of the mountains, we presume it should not be too difficult. Janske Lazne cud­dles against the southeast slope of Black Mountain and its history reaches far back into Middle Ages. Huttel, a chroni­cle keeper that lived in Trutnov in the 16th century, claims that the warm spring below Black Mountain was discovered by Jan from Chockov, an armed man of Albrecht in 1006.

The original town of Karvina, mentioned in doc­uments already in 1302, practically ceased to exist - except for the mines. The most of historical sights can be find in Frystat (as a town it was mentioned already in 1327), and its heart is now an urban conservation area. Treatment of neurological disorders in SPA Velke Losiny

It is not known who it was or when someone discovered the healing effects of springs in Velke Losiny and started using them for healing purposes. Whoever it was, the local sulfurous water issued from the swamps could not be overlooked. The legend says it happened when a sick horse cured himself with the spring water. The fact is though, that the beginnings of the spa date back to the 16th century. This is the time when the first written documents describe them and mention that the owners of the lo­cal estates, the Zerotins were the main con­tributors to its foundation.
